Football & Real Estate

I checked my boy into school yesterday. He’s a wide receiver and will be playing football. Since he was six years old and playing on the neighborhood flag football team to ending his high school career as Team Captain, Jack has worked very hard to play college football. So I’m excited for him and his future. But good grief, what an emotional day! (More photos on my Instagram.)
Jack reaching his football goal is analogous to buying a home in that you work hard and are disciplined saving up for the down payment to you can sign the papers to your first home. Or, maybe you’re ready to sell and move to something larger or take a job across the country. You think the day when you meet your goal is so far in the future it will take forever to arrive, yet all of the sudden you’ve finally made it. Just like walking on the field in a college stadium for the firs time, there’s something pretty awesome about holding the keys to your new home. It’s pretty amazing and indescribable.
With homeownership goals in mind, I’m sending you my latest Housing Trends eNewsletter. It’s chock full of good info on buying and selling a home. You’ll find local and national real estate sales and price activity provided by MLSs and the National Association of Realtors, U.S. Census Bureau key market indicators, consumer videos, blogs, real estate glossary, mortgage rates and calculators, consumer articles, and local community reports.
Whether you’re a first-time buyer, empty nester, having a growing family, decided to break from your partner or spouse, or just want a home for you and your dog, give me a call. I’m. happy to help you with your real estate needs at every stage of life. 703-963-0142
