Robyn Porter is a licensed REALTOR with more than 10 years’ experience helping people buy and sell homes across the Washington DC metro region, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. Brian Murphy is a loan officer with George Mason Mortgage, LLC, a subsidiary of Cardinal Bank. As a local lender, Brian has been originating mortgages in DC, Maryland and Virginia for the past 8 years. He is experienced and knowledgeable across all loan programs – Conventional, Government (FHA/VA) and Jumbo loans, as well as Renovation Loans and DC Open Doors. Brian enjoys working with buyers to help determine the home loan most suited to their needs.
Joy Siegel is a real estate attorney for Washington DC & Maryland, as well as a licensed title agent in Virginia. She brings her experience of having conducted and/or supervised well over 15,000 real estate settlements to produce her clients an outstanding settlement. She is an expert at unraveling tricky title matters and resolving potentially sticky situations. Joy is also a continuing education instructor, teaching everything from Fair Housing to Social Media.
They’ll cover the home-buying process, including:

•The offer, negotiation, and closing process.
•Financing, including loan approval and figuring out what you can afford.
•The current Washington DC real estate market.
Most importantly, your home buying questions will be answered! There will be plenty of time to ask questions during the Q&A portion of the seminar. You can also meet with the speakers individually if you’d like to ask private questions.
How long: The speakers will present for about 45 minutes. There will then be a Q&A period for about a half hour.
